ISRAEL FERNÁNDEZ IN CONCERT AT THE PORTA FERRADA OCCIDENT FESTIVAL 2026
From Toledo, Israel Fernández arrives at Porta Ferrada Occident. With a solid career as a flamenco singer, he presents De oro y marfil, one of his most ambitious projects to date, where he reveals his most complete side as a musician and artist.
With this proposal, Fernández invites us on a subtle and profound journey through his personal way of interpreting flamenco. Through original compositions and the reimagining of classic pieces, he builds a musical narrative that ventures into new scenic and sonic territories.
In this show, the voice is not the sole protagonist: instruments such as the piano take center stage, accompanied by strings, backing vocals, and his regular flamenco musicians. A true emotional rollercoaster, ranging from intimacy and delicacy to darker, more vertiginous moments.
Israel Fernández has carried music within him from a very young age, when he was already appearing on television singing shows. In 2008, he released his first album, Naranjas sobre la nieve, and has since consolidated his career with works such as Con hilo de oro fino (2014), Universo Pastora (2018) and Amor (2020). He has also been part of the show Flamenco Hoy, directed by Carlos Saura, as well as Sara Baras’ company.
